Our Services | Counseling

CAP’s counseling services provide therapeutic support for people infected and affected by HIV through individual, couples, family, and group counseling.  All services are offered by qualified and trained professionals with advanced degrees in counseling who are knowledgeable about HIV and sensitive to diversity issues.

CAP’s support groups offer support for individuals living with HIV.  All new group participants must contact the group facilitator prior to attending the first session.

"Learning I was HIV-positive sent me into a downward spiral both personally and professionally. My life was fine, stable and then I discover I have this virus. Just having that knowledge can be daunting. But, with support, I am coming to terms with it and moving forward. We need programs to help people who face both the virus and ultimately the disease. There's so much fear that accompanies the diagnosis."
